create alias idolmaster_(classic) -> idolmaster_allstars

The group of the 13 idols from 765pro are called the 765PRO ALLSTARS, so the whole branch is generally called allstars, which would be a more relevant name than (classic) for the tag. Allstars is also the name that distinguishes them from the Million Live characters who are also part of 765pro.

Are characters like Otonashi Kotori and Takatsuki Kasumi also considered part of "allstars"?

I just think allstars is a better catchall term than "classic" is for the 2011 anime and all the mainline console games that focus on the idols of 765 productions, like the wiki for idolmaster (classic) says. Kasumi is in the anime and Kotori is in the anime and games, so yeah they would count, I'm not suggesting to change the definition of what gets tagged as idolmaster (classic). And technically they do have the unit name 765PRO ALLSTARS+ for when Kotori joins them on the albums, and when the Xbox games only had 11 idols that unit was called IM@S ALLSTARS. Cinderella girls, million live, shiny colors are all names of the other branches, so allstars is the closest the original branch has to a name (or is what everyone calls it anyway), not "classic" when it still had console games releasing in 2017 and 2021. And it didn't make sense to me to try suggesting something like idolmaster_(765pro) when million live are also part of 765pro.

create alias idolmaster_(classic) -> idolmaster_(allstars)

If having it in parenthesis is any better.

I was also waiting to see how this turned out before proposing the possibility of having tags for 1st vision and 2nd vision to group the games under (for example idolmaster live for you! and idolmaster sp are part of 1st vision and share a lot of content with idolmaster 1 but they don't currently imply it, meanwhile every game from idolmaster 2 onward is 2nd vision after they redesigned the characters and made some changes). Just throwing that idea out there.

remove implication idolmaster_live_for_you! -> idolmaster_(classic)
remove implication idolmaster_sp -> idolmaster_(classic)
create implication idolmaster_live_for_you! -> idolmaster_1
create implication idolmaster_sp -> idolmaster_1

Proposing to turn idolmaster 1 into a tag for the 1st vision idolmaster games that gets implied by idolmaster live for you! and idolmaster sp. 1st vision is just the first era of idolmaster before the characters were redesigned for idolmaster 2 and the anime onward. There's a lot of content overlap that I think having a tag for idolmaster 1 that excludes L4U and SP isn't necessary, which I'll elaborate on.

L4U shares a lot of content with idolmaster 1 since it just exists to be a rhythm game/live viewer for all the songs from that game. It has all the same costumes available, the characters still have the exact same designs, there's really no story events to even make art of so the only difference is that more costumes are available. I think anyone searching for idolmaster 1 because they like the characters' old designs wouldn't mind seeing art of them in just a few extra costumes, some just being recolors of the main costumes from idolmaster 1, and it's likely that some art shows costumes from both games together like post #293994. And some old art that shows costumes originating from L4U is still only tagged as idolmaster 1 instead, since most people probably don't recognize it as being a separate thing.

SP is partially a port of the first game, since the gameplay and communication events are all the same. The major differences are that characters wear new casual outfits (that are selectable in L4U too) but otherwise still have the same designs (hair/face), there's some more new costumes, and that Hibiki and Takane exist as rivals at another company instead of as part of 765pro (and that's their only appearance in 1st vision). Otherwise it still has all the standard costumes from idolmaster 1, for example post #414855 the pink costume is from idolmaster 1 while it's depicting a situation from SP, so if you were searching for idolmaster 1 you'd probably want to see this based on the character designs and costume.

2nd vision makes up the majority of the fanart of the 765pro allstars and differs pretty heavily from 1st vision, which is why I think having a grouped together 1st vision tag is useful to search it separately. In 2nd vision characters were redesigned, costumes from 1st vision almost never reappear, Hibiki and Takane are part of 765pro from the beginning, and Million Live is part of 2nd vision.

I considered proposing making a new 1st vision tag that gets implied by idolmaster 1, L4U, and SP instead of reusing the idolmaster 1 tag, but that doesn't really make sense to me since there's no situation that art should be tagged as 1st vision without at least one of the three games being tagged.

For post counts, idolmaster 1 is at 4033, idolmaster live for you! is at 493, and idolmaster sp is at 165, so it would only make up a small portion for the latter 2 to be added to the former anyway.

The first game was just called The idolmaster, the _1 in the tag is to make it unambiguous with the series tag. Why would we add extra to that?

idolmaster (classic) is the umbrella tag for the classic idolmaster group before the introduction of more groups, it makes no sense for us to imply idolmaster live for you! etc to the first game when we already have this other umbrella tag. Doing that would make it impossible to search specifically for the first game.

As for the rename of idolmaster (classic), seems people just don't like it.
