possible artist aliases

What's the operating procedure for when there's a likely artist alias but there's also no direct evidence they're the same person? Create a new artist tag until proven?
Artist I'm thinking of right now is hoshi_usagi and I've come across what looks to me like an alternate set of socials also calling themselves hoshiusagi but there's no overlapping art or mention of any existing socials to tie the two of them together as the same person.

Unless there's direct links that connect them, it's just better to keep them separate. If an artist makes an effort to keep accounts completely separate they certainly wouldn't take it well that we put them together.
