Typing "_" is cringe

I swear to God, "_" is one of the most cringe button on the keyboard, meanwhile 80% of the tags here require you to type it. It might be just a skill issues or I might have short pinky fingers.

If you want to skip the "_", you will have to type out the whole word like "pinkhair" and it will auto suggest "pink_hair". But that's also cringe. Imagine typing out "headoutofframe" or "animalearfluff"...

An intellectual A pathological gooner like me would use the Gboard personal dictionary to save tons of auto correct. You can also color code the numbers, ie
1=black, 2-8= color of the rainbow, 9=brown, 0=white, 10=grey, 20=pink
So if I want to tag this:

"1girl solo white_hair long_hair blunt_bangs black_eyes looking_at_viewer animal_ear_fluff cat_ears cat_girl animal_ears closed_mouth smile completely_nude nude mosaic_censoring censored"

Now I just type:
"1gs 0lh blunt 1lv aef cate catg ae cms nudec cenm".

why make danbooru change its entire system when you can just change your personal autocorrection library to what you've proposed?

Right now it already suggest "pink_hair" if you type "pinkhair". It won't be so hard if it suggest it when we type "pinkh". It would be a great quality of life improvement for those who upload a lot.

I am already using my auto correct system. But this function only exists in Gboard, ie mobile. And using mobile is also inconvenient in some other aspects.

this is an actual proposal compared to what you first said in the thread, so i'll respond like it was your first statement. i feel like the main problem is that shortening everything like that ends up making it hard to autofill other tags.
i.e. surf =/= surfing; wave =/= waving. just recently some folks cleaned up the waving tag because a couple of surfing posts that included waves were corrected to waving accidentally. not a bad idea in concept, but execution seems flimsier than what you think, i think

You can use / and the initials of the tag for this: "/1 /s /wh /lh /bb /be /lav /aef /ce /cg /ae /cm /s /cn /n /mc /c" and select the tag in question for each.

It's possible to type periods instead of underscores and autocomplete will suggest the right tag. So you can type head.out.of.frame and autocomplete will suggest head out of frame.

It's also possible to abbreviate tags by typing a slash first. For example, you can type /hoof to get head out of frame and /aef to get animal ear fluff.

Admittedly these features aren't very obvious.

My suggestion only apply to multi-word tags, ie tags with more than one words that requires "_". Mistagging waves with waving seems like an unrelated issues, and more like a language skill issues.
