Pointless profession tag. There isn't even an outfit associated with it, since there is no consensus on what assassins look like (and ideally, assassins shouldn't look like anything in particular to avoid being recognised as such).

this is the first post i see under the tag lol
you're saying a guy readying a dagger in light leather armor at night on a vantage point is no indication that they're an assassin? that feels like a stretch imo
a lot of this tag does feel like canon bullshit but you don't even need to know the canon to tell this is an assassin
there are some posts that maybe fit ninja or rogue better but rogue's wiki also says it's an ambiguous tag even though it says "They're often seen using daggers, dual wielding, and wearing hoods" like post #9054774
this is a weird situation where people KNOW what an assassin/rogue look like so it's a good tag if they want but the tag is supposed to be deprecated just because most posts are mistagged because a character was an assassin in the canon and doesn't at all look like an assassin in the post
what am i supposed to tag this post #8334013 with btw? it's not an assassination because nobody is being assassinated in the post, so i guess implied assassination? should the first post i mentioned up above get tagged imminent assassination instead? these sound like unambiguous tags to me.
honestly why not just... remove the tag from the ninja to koroshiya no futarigurashi posts and marilyn_sue_dajie posts and... i think that's it? wow there isn't a single akame ga kill! in assassin i'm kind of disappointed tbh

That fact that you've already essentially been told "No" on getting rid of this tag, only for you to come around and try again from a different angle, doesn't paint this in the best light.

I do think that imminent assassination could work. And there's no reason why that last pic couldn't be tagged as plain assassination, given that the murder is currently occuring.
If the tag is gonna stay, then we should agree on what exactly an assassin looks like (is it the hood+knife combo?), and the vast majority of tagged pictures won't qualify.
