Refer to topic #21157 TL;DR there's currently no way to purchase a gold membership. The only way to get the benefits of gold is to get a promotion to at least Builder status. Refer to help:users to figure out how those promotions are given out. You could also wait for a Platinum raffle, which happens every few months in the forums.
