post #156475 exists and it does demonstrate one or two differences between the Xenoglossia and the normal Idolmaster versions. I also agree that Xenoglossia character tags are not really needed since the copyright tag should suffice but it's something to consider.

If the Idolmaster Xenoglossia versions don't have consistent recognizable designs then new tags aren't warranted. If they have multiple designs or outfits then that's leading us to another situation of ending up with a three-level tag hierarchy, which should be avoided unless there truly are significant differences between each version of the character.

After considering this a bit further, I'd say maybe the characters are different enough. For example, Xenoglossia Yayoi is basically alternate breast size (larger) and alternate height compared to the original Yayoi. Xenoglossia Chihaya would also be alternate breast size (larger) while having a different hairstyle. Also, they have outfits that their original versions don't have.

It was an argument for keeping the tags and not aliasing them. I'm not sure about implying though. Do we imply characters that are alternate universe versions?
