Utility aliases / renames are probably in order for our chin strap/chinstrap tags. Without the space might be the properer way to do it, but either way as-is if you search for chinstrap the first result is chinstrap beard, not chin strap.

BUR #50225 has been approved by @evazion.
create alias gag_chin_strap -> gag_chinstrap
create alias undone_chin_strap -> undone_chinstrap
Consistency if the second one goes through.
BUR #50226 has been rejected.
create alias chinstrap_beard -> chin_strap_beard
why not just do this instead?
edit: there will be no consistency with chest strap, thigh strap, ankle strap, wrist straps, arm strap, etc. if you rename the chin strap tag.

Probably because chinstrap beard is the proper name, punctuation included, of that facial hair style. I don't think the primary name of the tag should betray what its written as.

i checked ngram and though "chinstrap beard" is 10 times more common than "chin strap beard", people do spell it "chin strap beard" sometimes. but yeah it should be spelled in the way that most people use it

This would still have the chinstrap beard tag be the top result for chinstrap (unless the first BUR goes through), and even if this alias were removed the top result for chinstrap would be Chinstrap Penguin (Kemono Friends) fwiw, and you're likely going to have a lot more trouble convincing people to change that.
I did think about submitting a chin_strap_beard -> chinstrap_beard utility alias as well, but didn't. Don't know if people would find it helpful.

I can't find a definitive answer, but I think chinstrap is the British spelling while chin strap is the American spelling, although it's not consistent. We normally go with the American spelling, which would make it chin strap, but that would make it inconsistent with chinstrap beard and chinstrap penguin, so I'll just go with chinstrap.
