Most people IRL that use nicknames (like esport players, streamers, etc) seem to mostly be refered to by their nicknames. This is also the case with Wikipedia. So for consistency, maybe real life character tags that use real names should be alised to nicknames. Many danbooru tags do this already. Probably only a few exceptions left.
We normally use *_(person) as the qualifier for real people. A person's occupation can change over time, for example if they retire from being an esports player and become a streamer. It's only necessary to qualify by occupation if there are two people with the same name.
