comiket tags

i thought about asking about this just in case...

convention tags like Comiket 106 are for tagging works that will be/have been sold on comiket right? that's why they just get the same tag as pixiv?

i noticed that every one of these tags just says what a comiket is and none of them explictly say what the tag is actually tagging. should i update the wikis?

imo they're useful for searching doujinshi published in specific comikets, since pixiv's tagging system is bad and doujinshi.org is kill, so i'd rather keep the tags and maybe put them into a tag group together with tags for other events like futaket, ryonaket, etc.

Generally I've seen these tags applied to either anything directly referencing the Comiket in question, on doujin covers (including cover images) or for any other items intended for presentation at a specfic Comiket. It seems like this has been discussed before (e.g. topic #21377) but there's never been any actual conclusion reached about what they were created for, what they should be for, or if we should even have them.

There's also just the Comiket tag itself which is a massive dump for the same thing; when it's referencing either convention locations, anything adjacent to Comiket (e.g. something that would happen during a Comiket) or even on covers.

comiket, as the wiki notes, should be for posts depicting the convention.

The individual comiket tags are useful to monitor comiket releases or have a quick overview of released works (comiket_106 cover). It's such a big event that it makes sense to have individual tags for each year, especially since we can't filter by source creation date.

I see no issue with the tags I just wanted to point out we have Comitia and its related tags like Comitia 145 as well. It's an event only for original works, so it's probably populated a fair bit less (it's obviously smaller than comiket too).

I think people using these tags when they show up in translated tags is fine. It's not going to cover every single case, but a search like comiket_106 cover works pretty well regardless.

These events do have catalogs available, if someone was sufficiently jobless they could correlate our artist entries with the catalog's SNS links.

is it okay to create wikis for conventions that have tags on pixiv like ふたけっと so they show in the translated tags?
