Opacity in embedded notes

Posted under General

In the "other allowed style properties" heading in about:note formatting, opacity is listed as allowed. When I try adding it with embedded notes, however, nothing seems to happen. Adding either the statement "opacity: 0;" or "opacity: 1;" does not change the opacity of the underlying box.

Am I missing something here, or are transparent boxes not possible? If they are, does anyone have an example?

TIA

There have been multiple instances where I've been trying to do multipage comics fully embedded, but then occationally stumble upon very uneven speech bubbles. Without actually modifying the underlying image, I thought the best course of action would be to place a note on the side with the translation (Ex. post #11036032). In this case, shading would be enough to highlight the text, so making the note itself transparent would decrease intrusion.

If you have another suggestion on how to handle these cases I'd be glad to hear it.
