Invites listing missing

The list of people you have invited so far has been removed from the mod tools page. Why?

Somewhat related, and something I've either been meaning to ask for ages or asked a long time ago and never got a response - on my account page I have:

Moderator Tools

» Invites

I get a login prompt and access denied if I click on it. Does everyone have the link and can't use it, or is it just there because I still have spare invites that I can no longer access?

Well, I don't see it on my account page (there's a Recent Invites field on my profile page, but nothing in it and no links to click). I'll assume that means that Priv and below don't see that link.

It works for me right now as a janitor, but I remember also seeing it when I was a contributor. Between the time when contributors were no longer allowed to invite people and the time I was promoted, I'm pretty sure it behaved for me as you are currently describing.

It wouldn't be surprise me if it still shows up for all contributors, but is no longer active.

The invite tools first appeared for Contributers when albert went ahead with the mass testing for potential janitorial candidates. I have the Invites tool but I could never, and still can't, use it.

It has been there since I was a moderator and hasn't worked since I was dropped (forum #12223). My poor memory and the vagueness of the timestamps confuses things, but I'm not sure there were any janitors at the time.

Discounting the likely possibility that I might have a faulty memory, I think I've had Moderation Tools » Invites under my account options for as long as I can remember (and could never use it).
