Tag Implications: nier_(character)

A better idea would be to create a nier_replicant tag and use it in pictures containing Teenage Nier, similar to what we did with the Shoushitsu characters. Then implicate nier_replicant to nier.

"But wait, what about a nier_gestalt tag?"
Nier Replicant is exclusive to Japan, and only because Japan really loves their skinny, androgynous bishonen. Nier Gestalt is the version everyone else has and the only version the developers originally planned to publish, arguably making it the canon version.

For spoiler reasons, this is probably the better choice.

Eh? Gestalt and Replicant aren't spoilers, they are just the names of the two versions of the game.

While it is true that Gestalt and Replicant are the titles for the alternate versions of the game, it just so happens that there are two versions of Nier himself - oyaji and bishounen versions alike - in the game's canon storyline.
(Last chance, turn back now!)
The player-character Nier - again, young and old versions alike - is a Replicant: a human body without a soul, which managed to attain sentience. The other Nier is Replicant Nier's Gestalt self - a.k.a. his missing soul - and is encountered in the game as the Shadowlord.

That's why there need to be _(young) and _(old) tags, rather than game title-relevant ones. It's likely to induce confusion in those who have played far enough into the game.

edit: Your idea about using copy: tags to clarify is a good one, Hillside_Moose. +1
