"Coke-bottle glasses" is an English expression I learned when reading Love Hina (see post #456954 for a related example). I wonder if its stylistic value is suitable for forming a Danbooru tag. Also, it is a bit long.
Even something like thick glasses would sound appropriate to me. Incidentally, I wouldn't have tagged the one post in that tag that way.
Awhile ago there was like a "nerd_glasses" tag, and I myself I think tried the coke-bottle glasses. They were quietly untagged over time though.
If coke-bottle_glasses is a widespread term, feel free to go ahead and revive it.

Why do some people delete potentially useful tags without even asking about it? Not that it's too big of a deal, but it's still annoying it's hard to track things like this (still hoping for a tag history of individual tags)

I agree, a while ago someone deleted the sleeping_bubble tag (that bubble they put when they're sleeping on cartoons) I put on a post. Just because there's only one post for a tag, doesn't mean it's not useful

I believe nose_bubble is what that's being tagged as.

Will do. Quick question, how do you go about retrieving a tag?

oops, forget it then
but still, let's not delete tags that could be useful
to bring this up
I like thick_glasses but the wiki should be specific.

I meant "revive it" as in "start using it again". I can't automatically bring back prior usages of it or anything like that.

I guess I think of thick frames when I hear that. Either way we could alias whichever we decide on.

Then I guess nerd_glasses would get the image across better than thick_glasses.
I would have though coke-bottle_glasses were more universally known, but as it was subjected to a tag killing, I guess not. That term would only seem to apply to the archetypical round frames initially discussed and not something like post #357171, which might also be thought of as nerd glasses or thick glasses.
Renim was mistaken, there is no record that coke-bottle glasses ever existed so if it did it was 2+ years ago. Go ahead and use it.

The Pixiv tag is 瓶底眼鏡 which is literally "bottle-bottom glasses".
Apologies for bringing this tag back up, didn't want to make a whole new thread.
I want to ask if @_@ and coke-bottle glasses should NOT be used together -- as they are not the same thing -- and if it's ok to remove the @_@ tag from said pictures?
I would say no, they should be separate, unless there is some indication that a glasses-wearing character is dazed and is not an inherent quality of the glasses.
