Tag Alias: oven_mittens -> oven_mitts

Aliasing oven_mittens -> oven_mitts.

Reason: Same thing. "Oven mitts" is what I know them as and seems to be the more common term in Google search comparisons. Wikipedia's main entry is oven glove but it loses to oven mitts in Google hits too.

Better do mitts -> mittens because the former appears to be more of a slang variant (and currently has no posts), while the latter has 1200+ posts.

I would say no to the alias. It's fairly obvious what mittens are, but mitts seem to be something else; a Google image search shows a type of wooly fingerless gloves worn by women.

if there are significant number of posts of these fingerless gloves worn by women, i would probably say no to alias too. however, in dictionaries i checked, a mitt is also a mitten. having the previous alias oven_mittens -> oven_mitts also makes sense.

mittens wiki states "By definition they're not considered gloves". it will be too confusing to reserve mitts for this particular article of clothing if fingerless_gloves will do. and currently, nobody used mitts for this fingerless gloves by women.

however, this is just my opinion.
