It was done to ease the whole "color / style / type_subject". Although it eliminated the specifics with profile favorites, it narrowed down the tags in terms of searching. The admins(?) were not for color tags when it comes to certain things, so I suggested the legwear. It is actually still going on, as there were errors with the massive moving.
