I don't think blacklisting the tag will do very much, as all posts that are "hidden" by the blacklist still have their thumbnails downloaded by the browser regardless.
That really depends on the browser. Opera for instance doesn't download hidden images until you actually unhide them.

I just tested this with Opera 11.50 on Linux usings its built-in resource inspector, and it appears that it still downloaded the thumbnails of blacklisted posts.
Perhaps this is non-default setting of some sort?

Hmm, apparently it's a version thing. I still use Opera 9.64 (also on Linux). So I can't say if the newer versions have a setting to control this behaviour.
After some investigation however, it seems that this got changed because it breaks some sites which are so extremely clever that they rely on Javascript "onload" events of hidden images to work. I don't visit any such sites so I'll just stick with my old version...

Vancouver here. There's really no real threat unless you do something stupid like show the police.
Ontario resident here.
The only times I heard of someone getting in trouble for this are thus:
Importing it (Manga and such)
Having it in addition to actual CP
Someone reports you directly (and even then, if you don't have real CP I would imagine they probably wouldn't bother, unless there was a LOT and maybe if you distributed it?)
I think there was a case where someone was found with a lot of loli, but no CP. Didn't get in trouble.
Shouldn't be illegal in the first place TBH.

I also moved into Canada. But I am not sure if my explicit tag on one of my posts would be construed as jailbait, because we are not sure if she is 18 or not.
I just asking because I want to make sure I am not in trouble with the police. And if can, I'll just request to delete some of the offending pictures.

Offering for above-menber-level users to be subject to the same loli & shota block that members are subject to might be appreciated. I'm not canadian and I have loli and shota blacklisted, but I would still feel more comfortable if whatever network I was using never even saw the thumbnails.
Of course, https would help everyone in this thread be more comfortable using danbooru, and many hold the opinion that most of the internet should be encrypted anyway, but we've had that discussion before.
Canadian also. The way it works in reality is that:
1) If you give the cops reason to go after you for anything, like if you had drugs or something, they can use your loli/shota to burn you harder.
2) If they know you've been hording loli/shota pics they won't do anything, but if you get even one real CP pic, even by accident, they might come for you.
Considering the practical mindset of law enforcement is important for telling how these situations will play out. Basically, you become "easy brownie points".
I only mention this because #2 happened to a guy I know. While no actual case was made of it, it trashed his reputation so bad he had to move. Small city = people talk.
