What is the standard used on danbooru when writing romanizations as translator's notes? For instance, the notes on the kanji in post #1168484. I've seen ones where the first letter is frequently capitalized and I've seen ones where the entire string is left in lowercase, so I'm unsure which one is more "proper". howto:romanize doesn't mention this, so I thought I'd ask here.
On an unrelated note, should error be used if the error is a text element and not graphical? (Text unintentionally printed backwards or upside-down, for instance)
Before establishing capitalization rules, we should know the reasonings between the possible choices.
Looking at post #1168484, my impression is that the translator omitted the use of capital initials in order to maximize the size difference effect between the actual translations and the romanizations. I must admit it works fine in my eyes in that very case, but what if there were whole sentences in the notes? Using proper punctuation while omitting capital initials does not feel like a good idea.

I changed them to lowercase because I assumed that was standard since no one replied to this thread. They were originally capitalized.
I don't see any reason why there would be a specific rule for this, it's just a matter of personal preference towards capitalization or grammar in general.
If you believe it's proper for a single word to be capitalized than you should probably continue to capitalize words whether they're between or not. The idea of "maximizing" the difference even though one is already tiny and grey is silly.
Danbooru tends to prefer things being proper, though, and I don't see any reason for an exception here.
...and actually, looking at the example post #1168484 I don't know why the notes need to have romanization in the first place.
