Usage of the "navel" tag

Should navel be used when the navel shows through clothing, or only when it is bare? What should the former be called if it needs a different tag?

I'd say we should. After all, what value is lost if we do?

It works for stuff like test_plugsuit and all that.

see-through navel gets things like post #596996 and post #600485, where the opacity of the clothes and the visibility of the navel are unrelated.

That said, things like post #590180 should definitely still be tagged navel, even if it's beneath clothes. If it's really important to be able to distinguish navels which are visible from beneath clothes, make a tag for that and implicate it to navel.

It looks the clothed_navel tag emerged at some point. Going by the consensus in this thread, it would be OK to propose implication to navel, I assume?

Mmm... maybe. Do we have other examples of tags where we do this for other body parts?

Should clothed_navel be used for images like post #1276491 where the navel is visible under see-through clothing? The current wiki for clothed navel seems to rule it out: "opaque skin tight clothing"

For see-through clothing, no. Unless the clothing is also tight enough to make an outline of the navel.
