Tag discussion: radiation_symbol

I see the radiation_symbol tag as an artist tag. But Radiation Symbol refers to the fan-like symbol and should be a general tag as per the other symbol tags. Someone must have misedited the tag.

P.S. This is another complaint thread like in forum #80433

1) Your forum-fu is weak.

2) A little looking at the tags showed that nuclear is currently aliased to radiation symbol. Nuclear must have been an artist tag when the alias was made as tagging post #1274592 with general:nuclear fixed the problem.

Why does that alias exist anyway? “Nuclear” is more of a general concept, like something can be nuclear powered, while radiation symbol is something where “tag what you see” applies. I don’t see a radiation symbol in post #1274592, though. (Enlighten me if I missed it.)

Nuclear as a concept requires outside knowledge. When something is nuclear powered there's nothing visual about except maybe the radiation symbol. post #1274592 was probably tagged nuclear because within the canon of the show the ship is nuclear powered.

But there is no radiation_symbol in post #1274592 and this case is not unique. It seems like nuclear -> radiation_symbol alias was not a good idea after all.

I think it's more like they shouldn't have been tagged nuclear to begin with as nothing in the picture shows that the plane is indeed nuclear, and that plane does not strike me as nuclear at all.

I'd say that's the issue here, yes. Removed the tag.

Just to cover myself, the image was already tagged radiation symbol when I found it.
