Translation Notes Opaque in IE 10

Posted under General

Hi guys. I made a valiant effort trying to find information on whether this is a known issue, or whether anyone else has encountered this problem, but I couldn't find anything, so I figured I'd ask.

I was previously using Windows 7 with IE 9, and had no problems with the translation notes.
I decided to try upgrading to IE 10, and noticed all the translation notes on danbooru went opaque, so I rolled back to IE 9.
Well I just recently upgraded to Windows 8, which includes IE 10 by default, and all the notes have gone opaque again, and there's no way to roll back to IE 9.

So, is there anything I can do about this? Is there a browser or security setting I could adjust to rectify the problem? Or am I out of luck, short of switching to Chrome or Firefox?
Incidentally, the notes appear fine in Firefox 18. But I'm accustomed to IE and have never had any problems with it in the past, so I'd prefer not to switch if I don't have to.

Thanks for the response, but Javascript isn't disabled on my browser. It works fine on all the other websites I've tried. And I don't know how it would somehow only be disabled for Danbooru and not for anywhere else.

I found that by going to F12 Developer Tools and switching to IE 10 Compatibility View, the notes go back to being transparent. Also, if I switch to any mode lower than IE 10.
But there was never any broken page icon in the address bar indicating a need to switch to compatibility view.

Also, this only works for a single browser session. As soon as I close and reopen IE, the notes go back to being opaque.

Well, as it turns out, there's a way to force certain websites to always open in compatibility mode (Tools->Compatibility View Settings, and then add the website to the list).
So I've just added Danbooru to that list, which seems to be working as a workaround for now.
