Tag Change: Futaba Aoi

Posted under General

Specifically, changing all posts tagged with futaba_aoi to futaba_aoi_(asobi_ni_iku_yo!), and changing all posts tagged futaba_aoi_(vividred_operation) to futaba_aoi.

Reasons:

  • There are three times as many Futaba Aoi posts from Vividred Operation as those from Asobi ni Iku yo.
  • There are already a plethora of tags with *_(asobi_ni_iku_yo!) in existence, yet only one tag *_(vividred_operation).

More generally, is there a policy for cases like this, where an already used tag without a qualifier becomes less popular than a newer tag with a qualifier, like in the case above, or is it handled on a case-by-case basis?

I'm not sure if there is a policy. I know when I come across characters from a new anime TV series clashing with an obscure eroge character or an artist (characters generally take precedence over artists), I'll qualify the latter and leave the new character without the qualifier. It's harder to say in cases like this, as both are from TV anime and not obscure. Asobi ni Iku yo! could get another anime season at some point, but does it seem likely Vividred Operation's Futaba Aoi will dominate in post count regardless of what happens. So, I would agree with a change to Vivid's Aoi being without a qualifier, or them both having a qualifier.
