yamato_(uchuu_senkan_yamato) as a character tag

I notice that yamato_(uchuu_senkan_yamato) is a character tag. Is this intentional as normally a named object is usually treated as a general tag, such as shimakaze_(destroyer)? Or is it a character tag because the Yamato is part of a copyrighted series?

EDIT: I just saw that there is a yamato tag (general) for the real life ship, so I am going to assume making yamato_(uchuu_senkan_yamato) a character tag was to keep them visually different.

Shouldn't be a character.
