In my opinion, this is better as it avoids the genericized trademark and makes its easier for any user who tags "speedo" for the brand (speedo_(company)) to realize their mistake.
Also, sometimes speedos, jammers, and legskins are tagged competition_swimsuit. While they are competition swimsuits, I don't think they should be tagged that because it implicates one-piece_swimsuit. I agree with that implication and think the competition swimsuit tag should be reserved for one-piece competition swimsuits (the aforementioned tags or sports_bikini should be used instead if they're not).
