Well damn me, but I can't make out the 小 in the right eye, even when zoomed in, and barely make out the 町 in the left.

However, the note boxes are very distracting over the eyes. How about putting one small box in a corner, where it won't distract from the art overall?

Yes, I know that. But what about others? It's not really important, IMHO, that the kanji in her eyes spell out her name, but now that they've been removed, her eyes look awesome (as in much more alive).

What about others? You mean others that don't know it? That should be one of the the things about Danbooru everyone knows. If they don't know it, they can learn about it in this pic or future pics. I see no reason NOT to have the translation boxes there. It takes only 1 second of your life just to click on the pic.
