One of the most fearful things making up a story....being called a copy cat when you had no idea your particular story idea existed. Unless ofcourse both sides are totally cool with it. Probaly one of my worst fears as a writer as well.

And thus I don't think this strip qualifies for the tatara kogasa (cosplay) tag. Both are author avatars.

Work's got me seriously tied up right now. Even though I've been uploading animation! Well, that's not something I can make in a day or two, so while I was waiting for the storyboards, I put up what I'd almost completed beforehand. I was actually thinking of uploading it after my workload eased up, but I just couldn't wait that long. :-)

Tag it the same way as Mizuki Hitoshi? Which by the time this message got uploaded, it has been tagged. It will be amusing if Kogasa-san will make an appearance in Kogasa-chan (or was it the other way around? I am confused)

I also did a double-take at the Danbooru pools listing when I saw "Hang in there Kogasa-san" and "Hang in there Kogasa-chan" a few entries apart.

Even worse is when your idea is more well-known, and the original one gets marked as a copycat.

So they finally met... Well, at least both sides are ok with it.

To be honest, I was going to upload the entire series long before when I first saw it on Pixiv. Unfortunately, the fear of negative comments and such enshrouded me and I couldn't go along with it. However, I might upload it anyway. I just hope that nothing bad happens.

All three use "Ganbare". It's natural to think of Kogasa as the "ganbare" girl... she's not very good at what she does, but she earnestly keeps on trying. Her original epithet also suggests it, she's the "cheery" forgotten umbrella, meaning that she manages to keep her spirit up in the face of it all.

If that's the one I'm thinking of, it got pretty depressing toward the end. Or at least the end when I read it; if there are more chapters now, I don't plan on reading them as I expect them to be even worse somehow.
