Cute and adorable picture but I don't think you are supposed to refer to your lover in french as "mamie" (granny).

And that's where you are both right and wrong.The intention certainly was "ma mie" which INDEED refers to a lover.

Either way it's freaking adorable.

Probably a reference to the Salvatore Adamo song (which has been covered a number of times, including by Maki Goto in Japan).
