I'm trying to think of a proper way to convey the half-lidded expression Colonel Aki gives Homura (and Patchouli) as a standard-ASCII emoticon. Neither "U_U" nor "u_u" look right. "B" by itself isn't enough, and no "mouth" I put on it seems quite what I want.

I'd considered it, but part of the expression is that the mouth is implied, rather than visible. Having an I or | makes the emoticon look more annoyed or frustrated than the actual expression indicates, I think.

well, I don't think is possible using only ascii.
using unicode you can have this:
(ਧ ਧ)
or something like this:
ᗜ.ᗜ
...idk, maybe this looks better:
(ᗜ ᗜ )
for a tag, maybe ichijou-eyes would work

I've always used flat_gaze.

The thing about flat_gaze though is that it doesn't specify these specific, solid color, flat eyes.

I like the U_U idea. We could set the tag to have implications for flat_gaze.
