Artist's commentary
Hi! Nice to meet you! This brief introduction should help you get to know me quickly.
I’m a former 3D artist from a game company, now working as a freelance 3D art creator and a member of several community development teams. I specialize in creating high-quality 3D models for cross-platform use, including characters, clothing, firearms, environments, and various objects. Hard-surface modeling is my strength and passion. I dislike creating dirt textures, as I hate anything unclean, so you’ll notice my work typically has minimal wear-and-tear details. This also makes it easier for other artists to add their own weathering effects for further customization.
In my artistic pursuits, I’m constantly exploring a workflow that balances PBR realism with NPR stylized aesthetics. I’m also a VRChat user and create content for it, which I sell on Booth—an important source of income for me. In my spare time, I make mods for games. However, my independent game project is the core motivation driving my creative journey.
I love playing games and watching anime, but I usually don’t have much time for gaming. I dislike politics, so please avoid discussing any political topics with me.
If you’d like to connect, I can communicate in Japanese, Mandarin, and Cantonese, and I’m also learning English. My English isn’t great, so please bear with me. I’m open to commercial commissions and am looking for a full-time job that suits me. If you have any opportunities, please contact me via email at kawazoecn@gmail.com (avoid DMs, as my inbox is often flooded with spam, and I might miss your message)
