If Meiling was really so useless, why haven't Sakuya just fired her yet? At least in this series, Sakuya pretty much considers her a nuisance, and the others either don't like or don't care about her prescence anyway...

She's probably considered like family at this point so unless she TRULY messes up (which is saying a lot in her case) they'll likely keep her around in some way.
