To be honest, I don't think there's a flame war going on between the fandoms at all. It's just the usual "brony vs. anti-brony" conflict happening on Danbooru, a website where a lot of people happen to like Touhou as well, and therefore might encounter crossover pictures when looking for Touhou pics.
So, anyway... I just noticed that Marisa is flying without any apparent means of propulsion.

I was under the impression that she was perfectly able to fly unassisted and mostly kept the broom around 'cause, well, witches ride brooms. Just part of the motif.

Yep. She learned flying spells pretty much to even be considered a magician, so she uses the broom as a prop and weapon.

I always liked to think that the broom was more like an assist... She can fly fine without it, but could fly faster or with less effort with it.
Bottom-right... I swear, when I sat down to think about it one day, the similarities became all too obvious and NUMEROUS. It was like comparing Patchouli with Ayase Yue from Mahou Sensei Negima all over again.

I dislike the fandom and I do not care for the show. However, there is something about this that feels strangely ...right. I cannot put my finger on it.
It could be the artist may have known the MLP episode Multiple Pinkies where they all had to stare at paint or be sent back to oblivion. Of course, this episode just came out recently on Hub.

Actually, I would've expected Rainbow Dash to be partnered with Aya rather than Marisa...
Mm... nah, dosn't fit as well. Aya tends to keep herself to a more reactionary "I'm just a reporter, don't mind me" unless she needs to 'make' something newsworthy come about. Marisa is more competitive, outspoken, and so forth, much like Dash.
