「シビアってどういう意味ですか？」

私は厳しい人や現実的な人（リアリスト）の意味で使っています。シビア。
自分のおもしろいアイディアを、「でもそれ実際は無理だよね」とか言われたらシビアな意見です。

based on this --^ i think "severe" in this case is in its "pragmatic" or "realistic" meaning. could possibly even mean "pessimistic" or "scathing".

Another thing is that, as Komachi noted, if Sanae marries Yuuka and they don't "move out", then they'd still be neighbors and everything would still be ok for Letty.

But now, with Suwako's comment, Letty's solace is taken away...

"severe" means strict/demanding
