    My guess is that they planned this out when Patchouli started coughing, around comic 57 or 58.

    1. Method acting - Patchy was staying in character to inspire herself for the next act.
    2. Patchy is only teasing the koakuma just now, making her sweat through the apology without responding.

    Or "Patchy" rips off her mask, and reveals she's actually Remi in disguise! BGM - Septette For The Dead Princess.

    But more seriously, it could be that Remi didn't bother to clue Patche in on her scheme until their battle was supposed to be taking place.

    That, or the "Patche's just trying to tease her now" idea is true.
