This whole thing is riddled with language weirdness. I think a lot of our current translations owe to palesse figuring out some of the mannerisms and archaisms in the beginning.
But then, I'm not a translator, I dunno. Just what I've seen. :P

No, I had intended on quoting the author's comment, translated or otherwise, for it being just as confusing for me (the quote system conspired against me). I was originally unable to decipher what the author was trying to explain and thought it might be about spell utility and pushing the limits of what some magic can do. Mastine's short-hand was very helpful, as I could then better understand what the author was saying.

I would be very out of line for criticizing a translation or translator when I can't speak a lick of the language myself, so I want to apologize to JuanValdezJr for wording my comment as if I were trying to insult him.
