    Don't think so. It's a Designated Marksman Rifle, not Sniper Rifle.

    The characteristics between the two is different enough to distinguish them from each others

    No, battle rifles require a full-auto toggle. The SR-25 fires only in semi-auto. It's a combat sniper.

    @Mikoyan, the SR-25 is a sniper rifle (the SR stands for for sniper rifle afterall)but it is also frequented as a DMR.

    A battle rifle need not have the capacity for automatic fire. A battle rifle does not even need the capacity for semi-automatic fire. The term "battle rifle" simply means a military service rifle that fires a full-sized cartridge as opposed to an intermediate cartridge. The SR-25 meets these conditions but since sniper rifles and DMRs also have optics in addition to being military rifles that fire full-sized cartridges, they supercede the battle rifle classification.

    No. It stands for Stoner Rifle. And it's a DMR like he said.
    And battle rifles can be semi-only. See: L1A1, M1 Garand, SVT-40...
