According to this link, the average dinner tab is ¥6000. Pity they didn't get there for lunch.

Yuyu-sama is one scary person! Then again, the Yakumos are scary, too. :-)

The tempura was delicious. And the tencha I finished off with was superb.

(Tencha is chazuke (tea poured over rice) with tempura on top.)

I don't. I have absolutely no problem turning around and leaving a restaurant that's way too expensive.

Of course, since Yuyuko recommended it, Kogasa should've known what she was getting into.

I feel your pain, Kogasa-san. I experience it just about every time I go to a convention. Always feels like I'm the poorest person in the group! I manage to save up enough to eat really nice with everyone else, but I still cry on the inside sometimes. It's okay, Kogasa-san, enjoy it while you can. You never know when you'll get another chance to enjoy it!

For the poll, I'd love to try some dried persimmon tempura. I bet it would be delicious.
