Shouldn't the parents have turned silvery-gray by now? I mean, the whole reason clubbing baby seals specifically is a thing is because the young, in this case Madoka and Tatsuya, have white fur while the adults have smooth, rubbery silvery-gray skin.
Unless this is purposefully also showing the seal parents as pups.
