Which is typical for recent Gundam series. When was the last time we had a strong female character who didn't get the Soma treatment in this franchise? Not since Lacus, as far as I can recall.

I want Elle back. And Sayla. And when youre at it, make Asemu marry Arisa.

The 3 Female Leads of Gundam AGE have something in common: The last letter of their name is letter "Y", maybe a shout-out to very first Gundam pilot ever, which also has "Y" as the last letter of his surname: Amuro RaY

Well, if you are going to focus on that, then it would have made more sense if they had started with a "Y" on the first generation. But NOOOO! they had to give her a ticket to "Beyond time"...

The again, having her live would have prevented Flit from becoming the "Genocide Gramps"...

Side note: wondering around in gundam wikia (i know, not the most relaible source), in Flit's profile, guess who is the only one listed as "love interest"?. Guess someone was just good for giving birth to the next generation...

Yeah, Yurin is really Flit's love interest and the reason of his hatred against the Vagans but there is no doubt that the roles of these 3 girls in Gundam AGE are to be the female lead of their respective generation, whether they are the real love interests of the heroes or not (see AGE ED4 - forget me not).
It also doesn't change the fact that their contribution on the series is to bear the new gen of Asuno family (or specifically, Asuno pilots XD).
