Almost, judging by what's been translated so far, Satori wanted Okuu to erase Satori's shadow because it represented the darkness within her. After Okuu reaches her epiphany and tries to convince Satori, Satori kills Okuu "so that she could be liberated from Okuu's light, and effectively, her own darkness"
