Something like that... though music is highly subjective and none of them liked punk so they aren't really the best judge.

It was described as noise and rage. Punk rock isn't exactly known for its high skill level compared to say heavy metal.

Aya. They were also talked about during the symposium. Basically, Aya and Kanako don't like it, while Akyuu does. Though it might only partially be about skill level and partially about a culture / age gap.

I'd point to that Quiet Riot song that was supposed to be a joke where the singer was just screaming to make fun of the song, but turned into a huge hit. Rock in general has always been about not giving half a damn, so it may just be that Kanako only likes Enka or something.

Likewise, just because they have no skill doesn't mean they can't be serious about it. I mean, just look at... well.. name any awful band that takes itself way too seriously. I'd be shocked if there is one of you who can't name at least five off the top of your heads.

As for the "punk rock skill" comment, I'd have to say that, given that "punk rock princess" getup they dressed Wriggle in, the "punk rock" we are talking about is probably more Avril Lavigne than anything from the 80s.
