    What precisely would you want to decant anyway? Tea doesn't have anything to decant :x While it's understandable to decant old wine, pouring tea like might make sense only in Morocco and Arabian countries - where tea has lots of mint and sugar in it. So you would pour it like that for cooling it off, and to make foam. No decanting here. And you pour it from one cup to another, several times.

    Some tea is brewed directly with the leaves, no tea bags, so sediment is a potential problem. However, "decanting" here simply means "slowly pouring between containers".

    Well, you could use small sieve, it does job well, at least in my case. Huh... there might be little somethig dust-like from crumbled leaves, so very small amount might get through. I guess that's no-no in profesionnal brewing? I don't really mind it, so I never thought too hard about it.
