Just in case anyone missed the memo.

I would love if Tasofro would try and balance the characters to some degree this time.

That being said I have about zero faith in them.

Those sprites don't suit Touhou at all, especially compared to the fighting game sprites we've got already.

Kinda reminds me of Melty Blood...I'm not sure how to react.

Might be cool. Really need to see it in motion before I form an opinion on the new art style one way or the other.

Who do you want to see playable? I'm hoping Nue or Yuugi.

Tasofro might've balanced out Mokou and Kaguya so those two are a possibility.

I never really understood what about was so difficult to balance with those two.

It seems as if the game has the different religions (Taoists, Buddhists, and Shintos) fighting it out for faith in the human village. However I can't think of it any other way than like the current U.S. presidential election.

I thought that it wasn't about game balance, but that Zun was joking about them being too overpowered "in Gensokyo" since they're immortal.

MisterSolitaire beat me to it, but ZUN did in fact say that they would be "Overpowered" due to being Immortal. Granted this is the spell card rules we're talking about but that's a joke anyway.

Well it's too early to tell but there seems to be some sort of approval system, the objective is no longer to just beat the enemy but win the people to your side this goes according to the prologue and the new bars.

Consider the options the humans at the village have, a miko that her shrine is often visited by strong youkai, a monk who runs a youkai temple, a goddess that lives in Youkai mountain or a human hermit that just desires to become a celestian. But Marisa will probably help Reimu in this game IMO.

Nah it was just time issues, they couldn't balance Mokou, Kaguya and Wriggle in time.

Not to mention being immortal does not mean being invincible, remember that Mokou comes out crying out of pain when you beat her in IN.

Which is exactly why it's a joke on ZUN's part :P Spell card rules makes everything equal. Which is why Yuyuko is in the game. If we didn't get Yuyuko, ZUN would have said she was OP too.(some people couldn't handle that time was an issue, thus the joke by ZUN)
