To be fair, her parents have at least been talked about even back in the kid's generation age(like probably as early as chapter 6~10. It's only now do we get to see what they look like though. It's not like she never had any parents. They were just normal.

Sakura looks nothing like her parents.

Also Sakura's parents look way older than Naruto's and Sasuke's parents.
