Guess sleep comes before history. :-)

I often see construction scenes of Kurobe Dam in things like Project X, and I think they had some nerve to build a dam in a place like this. It must have been really rough going.

And so, we say goodbye to Kurobe Dam, but this trip took two days and one night, so the story still continues! :-)

(Project X ~Challengers~ was an NHK documentary on the building of the dam.)

Reader-added tags include "Enough sleep to make the announcement beg", "It's tough, Mr. Tour Guide", and "Peaceful quality of sleep".

The survey's feeling a bit tired itself:

    Where shall we sleep?
    • On a futon
    • Under a desk
    • In a chair
    • Pass out before you know it
    • I'm doping and won't sleep

A shame we don't get to post quotes of the Dam scene from Vegas Vacation scene.

I don't know if it's true, but I heard rumors that some of the people who died building the Hoover Dam were just shoved into the concrete molds. Think there are similar rumors about Kurobe or other large dams?

I wouldn't be surprised; as far as I know, all major construction projects have such rumors. I think they actually did do that back in Ancient Rome; can't remember off the top of my head.

Guess Sanae-san is still a little tired from everything. Well, I guess Kogasa-san will have to listen to the history of the tunnel without being able to talk about it with Sanae-san. Hopefully Were-Keine won't show up anytime soon.

For the poll, I often fall asleep in chairs when I'm really tired. If I lean forward, I'll end up tumbling under my desk.

I seem to recall a story of one man falling into the concrete form for a pillar of the San Francisco Bay Bridge (also unknown as the James "Sunny Jim" Rolph Bridge) and was left there because they couldn't get to him to get him out before he both drown and the concrete hardened around him...assuming he didn't die from the impact and was covered over as they poured. They might not have had time to recover the body before it was encased.

    It is a rumor though.

Well the Great Wall of China is worse.

To the poll? Well if you're tired than a sloth, just go with the chair.

History work like music to me. When it's about politic it sound like jazz or classical music in my ear (making me sleepy). When its about culture history its sound like pop music (I'll hear it gladly), but when its come to battle history it sound like rock music (screaming "HELL YEAH! THAT"S WHAT I"M WAITING FOR!).

What an interesting view of history! I should think similarly, as I love history!

    The trolleybus.
Sure seems like it was some dangerous construction work.
    Okay, let's head back, then!!
    Uh-huh!♡
    As Expected of You, Sanae-Sama
It says it memorializes the 171 people who lost their lives when building the dam.
Memorial to those who died on the job.
