Only if it's your first time seeing Col. Aki's Patchy; to those that know her, we're not in the slightest surprised. That and she's far less magician than a Hikki
What I find odd is that even the armored knight-like class character has a staff. That means it's a game where there are multiple classes, and they all use staves as weapons. (Maybe it's like White Wolf's Mage, where everyone's a wizard, even if they use magic to do kung fu or shoot guns?)
