That really depends on if they start tailoring it specifically for Western audiences, which were always the biggest Metroid market anyway, or continue on the current path... There's a reason Prime did better than Other M, and its not JUST the quality of writing.

The Prime Series might have been FPS, but the transition from a side-scroller was almost seamless. Other M on the other hand completely shat upon the Metroid legacy.

Other M's issues lie in the fact that Sakamoto got too full of himself and forgot practically all the things that make Metroid Metroid. Gunpei must be turning in his grave (He was the main producer of Metroid before his death).

Well first removing Sakamoto, then finding someone suitable to handle the series and start planning some retcons, mainly of the plot stuff in Other M.

The Prime series was always canon. Its just considered to be a "side-story".

Prime isn't canon. It doesn't contradict established lore, but it's not canon.

I say, canon or not, Prime's gotta be there, gotta count it in.
And I HATED Other M. Sorry, but there's no saving it.

I want a new Metroid for 3DS, i like more the style of Super Metroid or Other M
