I know the joke here is that Aya can't tell the difference between dogs and momiji but im half hoping for Ao_usagi levels of troll in the next comic where it turns out that really is momiji's dog form, it just so happens that momiji's hair color completely changes from dog to human form.
Aya thinks Momiji looks down upon all crow tengu and they easily when they meet. Aya doesn't seem to like Momiji and Momiji has bitten Aya at least once.

Double Spoiler can kiss my ass. That said, even if they don't get along, I don't think I can buy Momiji leaving a fellow tengu for dead.
It's canon that they have something against each other, but the question is: how bad is it? I kinda doubt that it's something on the levels of Mokou/Kaguya, and considering that just a few decades ago Momiji was posing for a photo of an article of the Bunbunmaru they were probably friends before. My guess for canon is it's either a case of those friends who love to fight among themselves but love each other, or simply a fight among friends (or simply Aya exagerating things, even her bitching), that can last for decades or centuries if you consider their lifespans.
Also a question for our friends who speak finnish, is there some kind of word play or obscure cultural reference on this one? Normally those are the driving engine of those things, but I didn't saw any annotations on the subject.

Edit: In other news, Setz confirmed the original pun to be Aya's inability to tell diffrence between Momiji and St Bernard, but is reconsidering it in case he can think of a continuation.
