I thought it was a shortening of Patchouli's "Purple Beanstalk" nickname, and I associated Marisa and Patchouli together.

1. There's a comment limit? I guess I usually don't comment enough to reach it.

2. In my experience, the "purple beansprout" nickname is usually just abbreviated to "beansprout" (萌し) if it's abbreviated at all.

Two per hour, although that can go up if you contribute (and go down much faster if your contributions get deleted).

That's right. I hardly ever commented until I'd already unwittingly raised my limit, so I'd forgotten all about it.

You have more experience than I do with translating Touhou (and in general), it seems, so I'll keep with your judgement here and remember it for later.

But yeah, with regards to the comment limit, I wish they'd take into account things like tags and notes as well - most of my contribution to this site has been in notes rather than uploaded images, though honestly my contributions aren't terribly significant anyway.

Oh, they do, but I'm just a note-writing fiend by nature, it seems. I've hardly done any actual uploads.

They must, or Privileged is different. Most of what I do is fixing notes, tags, and pools. I almost never actually upload things.
