It has been said before, but bears repeating, I think: This is a really great series. It's not just touhou in peanuts-trappings or vice versa, it really feels like how Charles Schultz might have written touhou fanfiction, if such a thing would have happened..

It is weird how closely these read to a standard Peanuts comic, and yet still fit their Touhou characters.

I actually have some Japanese Peanuts books. This is the exact format, except reverse. The panels are offset the same, but they still have their original English with Japanese on the side.

Ahh... I've wondered before if that might be the case. It would make sense, considering how he's formated these.

All of this. As a huge fan of Peanuts going back to early childhood, I was prepared to just HATE this series when I first heard about it, thinking it was nothing more than a cheap parody of Schulz using Touhou characters. I was very pleasantly surprised to find how well it worked, and that Chamupei really did his homework in staying true to the overall "feel" of Schulz's style. This is the kind of parody that comes off as a loving tribute to the subject, rather than just sending it up for the sake of sending it up, and I honestly don't think Schulz -- once you explained to him what Touhou was -- would have objected to this treatment.
