    Well, there's your problem. You have to look at the words too.

    Speaking of which, I'm going to half-heed this advice and head to bed, but I can't wait two hours to let my brain and optic nerves relax. Darned Daylight Savings Time...

    That's a good way of thinking but if i understand Japanese, i wouldn't be asking for translation.

    Hey! Cover your feet properly!
    ① and ② make one rep. Repeat this about 10 times a little before going to bed.
    ③ Your toes become toasty warm. Then get into bed.
    Your brain relaxes from your heated feet gradually cooling, and it becomes easier to transition into sleep.

    ② Slowly raise your body using your toes. This makes one time.

    Right after enjoying TV or video games, the brain, including the optic nerves, is in an excited state for a while, hindering sleep. Refrain from doing these about two hours before going to bed. It's important to be aware that it's not that "You can get rid of fatigue if you sleep", but to "sleep so you get rid of fatigue effectively".
    The brain normally switches completely over to "idle mode" for fatigue recovery and maintenance only when you get good quality sleep. Brain functions decline when you have anything like a nightcap drink, and it becomes difficult for it to switch completely over to "idle mode". Hold off on the liquor when you really want to get rid of fatigue. Drinking hot (or not cold) milk before going to sleep has a relaxing effect. Those with weak stomachs should be okay with soy milk or a mix of soy milk and regular milk.
