    This is kind of offensive.

    As a former military medic who spent 7 years on active duty;
    I have no problems with this picture what so ever.
    In fact, I bookmarked it.

    Many parodys of veterans are, but I dont see this as offensive because this artist likes drawing soldiers personified as cute girls. Its kind of like pin up art but less risque. He isn't making fun of them, its more as a tribute.

    They met as fellow recruits, trained as soldiers, deployed as part of a unit, fought as teammates and bled alongside each other as brothers.

    I find Hetalia and it's depiction of the political events more offensive. Like 79248cm/s said, drawing soldiers as cute girls is sort of Japan's pin up art.

    Why find this offensive? I mean if you do. Then, do you find the Star Wars version offensive too?

    Funny how I, the person who has actually served, doesn't find it offensive yet those who haven't served do. Frankly, I fail to see what is offensive about someone morning the loss of their comrades via any medium. Period.

    And remember, the first US Air Force security forces troop killed in Iraq was 21 year old Airman 1st Class Elizabeth Nicole Jacobson... A young woman. The whole women don't serve on the front lines thing is utter garbage. Look up WWII's "Angel of Anzio".

    In my opinion, if you are offended by this, it's because you're looking to be offended (a trend these days). But then again, to each there own I guess. Ok, I'm done. No more from me lol

    Edit: Sorry, overdid it a bit. My lack of tact is glaring in this one.

    I think it's people not wanting to offend others, but they don't consider how the people who might be affected by the certain media feel about it. Pro-tip: never look up social justice warriors on Tumblr. They are the epitome of people trying to stop offence.

    To the Star Wars version's credit, the characters in it aren't... sexualized? Cuteified? Not sure how to say it.

    I an pretty sure quite a few people on this website have a -thing- for girls in thigh-highs and/or with cat ears. Personally I'm not one of them, but I think that is why he was offended.

    Personally the most offensive thing to me is the idea of soldiers wearing stockings and loafers instead of pants and boots, but that's just cause I can't help but think of practicality in character designs.
